Since students begin study at different ages, I design an individual personalized course of study for each student, pace the learning process based on the student progress, and use several different methodologies and materials to meet a student’s developmental needs. Materials include methodologies from Suzuki, Doflein, Sassmannshaus, The North American School of Folk Music, Galamian, Gillespie, Kjelland and Zweig.
For younger students, I encourage parents to participate in both their child's learning and lessons. This involvement helps parents understand the practice process creating empathy and patience for their children in the learning process and allows the child and their parents an opportunity to accomplish mutual goals together in music, creating a stronger bond between parent and child.
For students and parents better understand how I conduct my sessions, I offer a free no-obligation trial lesson. I accept students of all backgrounds and skills ages 4 to 80. I also coach small chamber ensembles. If you are interested in having lessons, please feel free to contact me at
